Celebrate and unwind: combining the forest clearing, sauna and hot tub
When a sauna or hot tub is added to a celebration, it is easy to imagine one route for everyone: meet in the clearing, head into the warmth together, then return together. With a large group, that idea soon turns into waiting around, roll calls and attempts to fit everyone into every space at once.
It is better to start with choice, rather than a timetable. Some guests really want a sauna, others care more about the hot tub, and some would rather stay at the table or take a walk in the forest. The clearing and the sauna area accommodate different numbers of people. A well-planned day therefore gives everyone a shared space with a few optional activities, instead of leading the whole group along one route.
At NAMETY, the sauna and hot tub arrangements depend on the event format. For up to thirty guests, the core booking is “Forest Clearing + Male Lito”, with sauna or hot tub access agreed separately. For thirty-one to fifty guests, only exclusive hire is available; it includes one “sauna + two hot tubs” session lasting up to two hours. The exact time, capacity and practical arrangements are agreed with NAMETY.
Why celebration and relaxation go together
At first glance, a celebration is about activity, while a sauna and hot tub are about calm. In practice, they complement each other well. Sharing warmth soon takes away formality. It is hard to keep up polite small talk for long in a hot tub; in a sauna, nobody is judging your party outfit. People stop playing the “perfect guest” and simply spend time together.
This transition feels particularly natural in a forest. There is no need to leave one atmosphere behind and travel to another venue. The day keeps the same character: trees, air, warmth and pauses. Only the pace changes.
At the same time, the sauna and hot tub should not become another item that everyone is obliged to tick off. For some, the warmth will be the best part; for others, it will be a conversation in the clearing. A good plan leaves room for both.
The main rule: the sauna and hot tubs are not for every guest at once
The event capacity of up to fifty people is not the capacity of the sauna and hot tub area. Even the “sauna + two hot tubs” session included with exclusive hire does not mean that all 31–50 guests can take part at once. Who will attend and how the visit will run must be agreed in advance; do not plan several rotations or extra hours on your own.
This is not a limitation to hide. While the agreed group enjoys the warmth, other guests can stay in the clearing, walk or talk. If the NAMETY team confirms that groups can be split or a particular sequence can work within the allocated time, it can be added to the plan; it should not be promised to guests beforehand.
The organiser needs to know in advance who actually wants to use the sauna or hot tubs. Do not automatically count everyone invited. It is better to make a short list of those interested and work with the NAMETY team to establish the possible group and exact time.
An illustrative plan: Marta’s birthday
The following story is an imagined example to show how the day can work, rather than a review from a real guest.
Marta invites twenty-four people to her birthday, so the basis of her event is the “Forest Clearing + Male Lito” format. She does not want a host or party games, but is considering a sauna and hot tub visit for some of her friends. As this is not automatically included in her format, Marta first checks with NAMETY whether it is possible.
Everyone meets in the clearing first. If NAMETY confirms the sauna and hot tub visit, Marta provides the names of those interested in advance, and the team agrees on the group, time and any possible sequence. At the appointed time, that group heads to the sauna and hot tubs, while the others stay in the forest. Afterwards, everyone comes together again in the clearing.
The secret of this plan is not an exact number of hours — that needs to be decided for the particular booking. It is that Marta does not try to take everyone along the same route. She creates a shared beginning, several ways to relax in parallel and a shared ending.
Where to put the sauna and hot tub visit in the schedule
The sauna and hot tub visit must fall within the active event hours of 12:00 to 22:00 and take place at the time agreed with NAMETY. General access to the venue is from 10:00 to 23:00, but this does not extend the hours of the active programme. Within those limits, there are three main options.
The first is at the start of the active event, before its main shared moment. The agreed group has its time in the warmth, then joins the other guests in the clearing. This works when the sauna and hot tub visit should feel intimate without interrupting the central part of the celebration.
The second is in parallel. The agreed group heads to the sauna and hot tubs while the event continues in the clearing. This option needs a clear list of participants and a time agreed in advance for everyone to come back together.
The third is after the main shared part of the day, but before the active event ends at 22:00. The agreed group heads into the warmth while the rest of the celebration is winding down. With exclusive hire, all five cabins and an overnight stay for up to ten people are also included, but remain a separate part of the day from the sauna and hot tub visit.
No single plan is right for everyone. The choice depends on the number of participants, the timing of the event and what matters most to you: being together, having a choice or ending on an intimate note.
What to ask guests in advance
A simple message can save a great deal of organising: “We are planning a separate sauna and hot tub session. Who would really like to join in?”
The next step is about more than the number of people interested. Guests need to know that this part of the day has its own time slot and is not intended for the whole large group to take part at once. The organiser should agree availability, capacity, the order of activities and all practical arrangements with NAMETY.
It is also helpful to leave people free to change their minds. Relaxation stops being relaxing as soon as it becomes a compulsory group exercise.
A better pace, rather than “more services”
It is easy to describe a combination of the clearing, sauna and hot tub as a long list of possibilities. But guests will not remember the list. They will remember that they had a choice, that the whole group was not waiting for the same activity, and that it was easy to find one another in the clearing after relaxing in the warmth.
So start by asking “How do we want people to feel?” rather than “What else can we add?” If the answer is closeness, calm and lively conversation, there is no need to fill every hour. A few well-judged transitions and some time between them are enough.
A celebration with time to unwind is more than a banquet with a sauna tacked on. It is a day when joy and quiet can coexist, and a large gathering can include smaller, more intimate moments. The Forest Clearing remains the shared space, the warmth gives the agreed group time together, and a good plan lets everyone choose what suits them — without a compulsory activity for the whole party.
